About
Our Mission
At Reverie Vintage, we believe that gently used, fabulous finds, and retro-tastic items make extraordinary gifts that tell unique stories. Each piece carries its own history, infusing your gift with character and charm that new items simply can't replicate. When you choose vintage, you’re not just giving a present, you’re offering a connection to the past and a meaningful narrative that the recipient can cherish.
Beyond their sentimental value, these thoughtfully curated treasures have significant benefits for the environment. By opting for pre-loved items, you’re participating in a sustainable cycle that reduces waste and minimizes the demand for new production.
Surprisingly, many vintage items offer superior craftsmanship and durability compared to contemporary products! They have stood the test of time, and their unique designs and materials often surpass the quality of today’s mass-produced goods. By gifting vintage, you’re not only giving a one-of-a-kind item but also supporting a more sustainable and thoughtful way of living.
In essence, our mission is to celebrate the beauty of thrifted and vintage finds as gifts that honor both the past and the present. Additionally, we infuse our own hand made items, artisan crafted pieces and gourmet treats here and there to support local small businesses and elevate your purchase to our standard of gift-giving perfection.
Check out our “Ramp-up-the Wow Factor” hints in each description when you want even more oomph and wonderfull-ness. You may have noticed, we tend to invent our own adjectives here too! We hope you have fun exploring our offerings, where each piece is a testament to creating joy for both the giver and the recipient. Join us in making thoughtful choices that support the planet, small businesses and create lasting memories through the joy of gifting!
Dedication:
Reverie Vintage is dedicated to my parents from whom I inherited personality traits, food preferences, love of comfy couches and good old fashioned local televised news during dinner hour. My father's love of getting the perfect picture, one-liners, The Three Stooges, Chinese food and Moxie. My mother's Dad-directed eye rolls, affinity for décor, gifting home made gifts, love of finding the perfect Hallmark card and moving all the furniture around to vent her frustrations. Their traits seem to be replicated in my relationship with my husband which makes me feel at home all these lifetimes later. I could not be more exactly of anyone one else but them, a perfect 50/50 blend of the best of both of them. I can only visit them within the bounds of my memories, but it's a place I like to go as often as possible. Perusing vintage shops is full of reminders of the things we owned, gifted and decorated with in my childhood home and during what seemed like such simpler times.
Extra special thank you to my husband who lets me scoop up all his spare time, torture him perfecting the vignettes and numbing his mind with my endless chatter about my vintage finds and what works with what and why. His self-taught photography skills are seen throughout this website and never cease to amaze me. His patience is his gift to me while I work extra hard to bring this daydream to reality.
