This vintage gift vignette is absolutely pretty-as-a-picture! The colorful fruit and floral motif, scalloped edge pedestal bowl and mauve accents has a traditional style but with a charming vibe that makes it sweet-not-stuffy!
A set of 5 vintage Johnson Brothers bread plates in the “Pomona” pattern feature a pattern of fruit and flowers in rich shades of chocolate, mauve, green and blue. I love the combo of brown and mauve together, so the scalloped edged napkins were a great find! The gorgeous dark chocolate-y stained wood pedestal bowl was the piece that inspired the whole vignette. It’s scalloped rim adds a bit of whimsy and repeats the edges of the dusty mauve napkins. Snacks, flowers, ribboned rolled napkins will all look extra special displayed inside. The dainty wood candle holders and napkin rings are an extra special touch. To round out this gift, I added a set of brand new, unscented mauve taper candles from Mole Hollow, a local candle company in my area. I would love to see this set used for a little gathering for dessert or hors d'oeuvres by candle light. The plate easel and faux flowers are for display only and not included.
