This vignette evokes a serenity vibe, a palette of warm and cozy nature and neutrals.
A perfect choice for your avid reader or fan of the aviary world, this is a very thoughtful gift!
The book, is in excellent condition and inspired the theme of this vignette. It is missing its sleeve, but the cover has a beautiful feather pattern and beige-y dusty mauve color that begs to be displayed. It is a true story set in 1960s about a quail raised from an egg in Orleans, a town on Cape Cod. Its a very sweet and touching story and will be appreciated by any bird or animal lover. The quail figurine stands by, seemingly with a look of pride on its face. The Japanese sauce/trinket dishes are rimmed in gold with a lovely aged patina. I picture this set to be enjoyed in a comfy corner chair, set on a wicker side table with a cup of tea, to be enjoyed in a peaceful corner. Everyone needs one of those peaceful corners in their lives and this is the perfect gift to make it complete! Wood tray and faux florals are for display only and are not included.
Vintage: 1960's and 1970's
Details: That Quail, Robert by Margaret A. Stanger; 1966. The book is in excellent vintage condition, the quail is like-new and the plates are pre-loved, have some fading of the gold rims but look amazing.
Measurements:

Ramp up the WOW-FACTOR: Gift this set with a mauve cashmere or pashmina scarf. A cozy throw in creamy beige with some chamomile tea would be nice too. Perhaps your bird watching recipient would love some mini binoculars or a bird guide from the Audubon Society? A recent retiree or someone with a bad case of the sniffles? Include some ginger tea, molasses snap cookies and box of tissues on a wood tray. Ideas are endless for this one, have fun gifting kindly!
