A majestic stag and his mate are elegantly depicted against a backdrop of evergreen foliage, complemented by a stunning acorn border that adds a touch of rustic charm.
The color palette of this vignette is enhanced by the sweet vintage flocked deer figurine. The carved wood and antler serving set not only highlights the natural theme but also carries vintage significance, being a wedding gift in the 1950"s to my husband’s parents. They are in unused, excellent condition, showing no signs of wear, unlike the box lid that bears the artistic marks of a mischievous toddler’s pencil work. The flocked deer has a leg repair and a snipped lower antler. He is still in great shape and the imperfections are not obvious.
Vintage: Victorian English Pottery-Royal Stafford, “Homeland Collection” 11" plate is still an active design from the 2010s. The carved antler serving fork and spoon date back to the 1950s, while the flocked deer figurine's origin remains unknown.
